Having produced the most successful bikes in Tour de France history, Pinarello has furthered its legacy in stage racing at Nedbank Gravel Burn. Piloting a DOGMA GR, Axelle Dubau-Prevot took the general classification at the 2025 edition and Tom Pidcock won stage 5 on that same flagship bike.

This year the brand is named an Official Industry Partner, and the people who race, develop and sell those bikes are on the start list in 2026.
More than 20 Pinarello riders will leave Robert Sobukwe Town / Graaff-Reinet on 25 October and finish at Shamwari Private Game Reserve a week later. They hail from Italy, France, Switzerland, United States, Poland, Spain, Canada and South Africa. For seven days they will stay in dedicated Pinarello Lapas inside the Burn Camps.

Two of the Pinarello contingent ride for the UCI Pro Continental outfit Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. Marcel Camprubí is the Spanish road champion, a title he won in June. Nickolas Zukowsky, was crowned Canadian road champion in 2023 and is now in his fourth season with the team.

Eight of the group are South African, including ultra distance coach Gavin Horton, a Freedom Challenge (RASA) blanket wearer and multiple Munga finisher, and Ewan van Vuuren, who owns Coimbra Cycles in Gqeberha, one of the best-known bike shops in South Africa.
From the United States, the Karoo welcomes George Kapitz of Broken Spoke Bike Studio in Wisconsin.
Pol Tarrés, from Girona, spent twelve years on the UCI Trials World Cup circuit, seven of them finishing inside the top ten. He signed as an ambassador with Pinarello in 2023 and since retiring from trials he now enjoys gravel and road racing, as an enthusiast. He has participated in the Strade Bianche Gran Fondo.
Kevin Vermaak, founder of Nedbank Gravel Burn, said, “Pinarello reserved a whole Lapa at the first edition, all of us staying together in the Burn Camps – even cycling superstar Tom Pidcock stayed in a tent! Seven days of Nedbank Gravel Burn offers a great platform for their staff and teams to connect with their dealers and strengthen the relationships.”
