A Gravel Burn entry includes all you need for the full gravel stage race experience.

An all-inclusive gravel racing experience awaits, where we take care of:
7 nights accommodation in our Burn Camps, from Stage 1 until and including the night after Stage 7.
Your own spacious canvas tent equipped with a camping bed, mattress, tent light, charging facilities, camping chair and a small table.
3 meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner of local Karoo cuisine, starting with lunch after stage 1 and ending with breakfast the morning after the Final Burn celebration party.
All refreshments, including water, coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer and wine.
Burn celebration party after stage 7 at Shamwari Private Game Reserve‘s Amanzi Burn Camp.
Transport of your luggage between Burn Camps.
Transport of bike box/bag from registration in Knysna, direct to the finish at Shamwari Private Game Reserve.
Marked race route with full race support services.
Nutrition at service stations on daily race routes.
Race medical services on route and in Burn Camps.

HOW TO ENTER
YOUR ENTRY
Visit Gravel Burn website no later than 3:00pm SAST on 3 December 2024.
The ENTER NOW button will be displayed on our home page.
Select whether you’re entering as a South African or Namibian rider, or as an international rider.
You’ll be directed to our Quicket page, where you’ll select either one or two race entries.
If you prefer to choose the motorhome experience, you can add this option during checkout. Additional Optional Extras like pre-race accommodation and transfers will be available from March 2025 and you will be notified when they are open for booking.
Click “NEXT” to secure your entry. You will have 15 minutes to complete the required information and make payment. If you are purchasing two entries and don’t yet have all of the second person’s details, you can enter placeholder information for now. They will be able to complete their details once you transfer the entry to them.
TRANSFERRING YOUR SECOND ENTRY
If you’ve purchased a second entry, you must transfer it to the recipient so they can register their details. Please follow these steps carefully:
Log in to Quicket with the same email address your used to purchase your entry.
Go to “My Tickets” (in the top-right corner under your name).
Select “Gravel Burn Tickets” and choose “Transfer Tickets.”
Select the entry for the other person, enter their email address and transfer their ticket.

Please ensure your financial arrangement with the recipient is clear before transferring the ticket, as once transferred, the entry legally belongs to the recipient and you forfeit any financial claim.

WHEN AND WHERE do I enter?
Entries open 3 December 2024 at 3:00pm SAST sharp and close when Gravel Burn entries are sold out. A link on the Gravel Burn website directs riders to our Quicket page – a secure online registration platform.
How do I qualify TO RIDE?
Besides a bike and riding gear, you need to be 19 years of age or older as of 31 December 2025. Aside from this, there are no qualification criteria for participating in Gravel Burn – only a passion for cycling and timely registration, as entries are limited.
What do I need TO REGISTER?
You will need a valid credit / debit card loaded with sufficient funds and the understanding that in 11 short months you will be a pioneer in gravel stage racing!
Do I pay in rands or dollars?
South African and Namibian riders pay in South African Rand (riders must enter their ID numbers or passport numbers, and show ID at registrations in Knysna, to qualify for 'local pricing'). Riders from all other nations pay in US Dollars. Note: non-qualifying international riders entering as a South African rider risk forfeiting their entry.

PRO-AM RACE
CATEGORIES
During the entry process, riders will be asked which category they’d like to race in. Riders wishing to compete for prize money may select the Racing (Open) category. Riders selecting Age Group will automatically be added into their respective age group category based on date of birth and gender.
There will be equal prize money for men and women in the elite category for daily stages and the overall GC ranking. This information will be posted when we announce our title sponsor. Professional women will start in a separate batch after the professional men to ensure a fair racing environment.
