Meet founder Kevin Vermaak and the team and hear the story behind Gravel Burn, with insights into the vision, the route, the all-new immersive rider experience plus some hints at its unique elements.
The Gravel Burn is a 7-day, 850km, full-service, international gravel-bike stage race, starting in Knysna, traversing the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Karoo and ending with an iconic African Big 5 wildlife welcome in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The inaugural event will take place from 26 October to 1 November 2025.
